Liv’s Story
I welcome and value the diversity and camaraderie of all cultural, ethnic, sexual, religious and gender groups.
Born to immigrant parents from two different cultures, my sense of belonging and understanding of societal norms were shaped by my socio-cultural and familial background.
University life expanded my world. Through my studies in music and the arts and my work for the student union, I found acceptance in various communities, especially the women’s and queer departments. I will forever be an ally to these humans who lifted me up, helped me discover who I was, and fundamentally expanded my worldview.
My journey as a musician and creative took me to London, where I worked as a music teacher and sound artist in multiple countries. At this time, I also discovered the need to just get a job and pay the rent. I worked at a psychiatric facility for young people, where I discovered an interest in mental health services.
My own lived experience with mental health distress has informed what I’ve chosen to study and my belief that a holistic approach, drawing from many different modalities, is essential in supporting people’s mental health and overall well-being.
My life journey has been beautiful, filled with the malaise of being an alive human, unique, and defied many societal norms.
“I am dedicated to creating a therapeutic space where you feel seen, heard, and supported on your journey, collaborating to emphasise the transformative potential within you.
My mission is to encourage you to believe in your uniqueness and appreciate who you are and where you come from. I believe this person-centred approach, blending talk therapy, holistic practices, and creativity, can lead to joy and better mental and overall health.
I am empathetic and occasionally ridiculous.
I love listening, I’m curious….and I love a natter!” ~ Liv
